Toujours Votre........

Eeyore!
Last fall ('07)

My first horse, Tucker, and Eeyore.........

This morning at about 7:30 my friend AK and I headed down to the barn for a morning ride. After getting on Beloved in the indoor, I walked her outside and was hit with the strongest desire to gallop...and not ever stop. :) A little early morning fog was rolling in, the air was cool and crisp and both LoveBug and I were in good moods. I decided to play it safe though, so I didn't run pell mell up the hill. But. I did do a great amount of thinking while I was walking around in the cool Maine air. My thoughts drifted to memories.....some good, some bad.

I thought about how much simpler life had been when I got my first horse. I was a 13 year old, care free, silly (slightly "ditzy") kid. Most of that is still true...lol I sadly thought of Tucker and Eeyore and how much I miss both of them. I thought about when I first ever came to LCS. How different things have become!! Its amazing....in a good and sad way. Sometimes I miss the quiet times of the day, when no one was around and it was just me and the girls. :) I wouldn't trade how things are now for anything though!

Anyhoo, as I thought about all of this, I thought about change and how much I hate it. Fear it is a better word I suppose. Since I was a little kid I've feared and hated any kind of change. But I took comfort in this: No matter how much life changes, God will never ever change. He will always be there for you, and me and everyone else that chooses to accept Him. God has been so good to me; He gave me wonderful friends and a great family, a wonderful house and a horse that amazes me more every day.

So, what does the title of this post have anything to do with this stuff? Everything. :) "Toujours Votre" simply means "Forever Yours" because I will forever be God's and He will forever be my Heavenly Father. No matter what, that will never change.

Well, Elisabeth that was so sweet to read. You are a remarkable granddaughter and I love you very much and am very proud of you. I'm glad you have your horse and most of all I am glad you belong to God who will always be with you no matter what. I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow at Church. I miss you so much.
Love, Grandma
