Swimming....

My calling in life...is not to be a lifegaurd. lol! I sat down by the pool for about an hour or so today with Abby and Nick. "Why didn't you go in?" You may ask. That friend, is a looong painful story. Wanna hear? OKAY!

It all started Sunday afternoon. It was a little cloudy but my siblings talked me into going for a swim in the newly opened pool. After we'd been swimming about an hour I started towards the ladder to get out. Benjamin yelled something to me so I turned and talked to him for a sec, and when I turned to grab the ladder do you know what was swimming beside me?
A FROG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!
I started shrieking and I mean BLOOD-CURDLING screams! It was so gross and IN MY FACE!! *shudder!* EWWWWWWW!
I can take a lot, but that, was just too much. Whew, my heart is picking up speed just telling you about it!!

lol so anyway, thats why I sat sweetly by the pool and watched Abby and Nick swim. And yes, we did get the icky amphibian out lol

Suuummmahhhh

Wow...Its hard to believe that I'm a JUNIOR! YAY! lol as of Thursday, my summer vaca began. :) Yup be jealous lol

Man, lately I can't go one day without something weird, odd or painful happening to me. Yesterday I went on a trail ride and after I got back my left eye hurt pretty badly. So I rubbed them and continued on but they kept hurting until it was almost unbearable. To make a long story short I have a cut on my eye. "Is it painful?" You may ask....It feels like a knife keeps poking into it slowly and purposefully. I wanted to murder someone last night it hurt so bad lol But...*sigh* thats muh life. lol

Another new thing -- I'm selling Sky :( Shes just not the horse that I need right now. Its very sad but it needs to be done. At the moment I'm looking into free leasing a horse for a couple of years until I go to college. We shall see.

Well I must sign off for now...Ben wants me go to swimming with him. Hes scared of the frog we found in the pool last night lol!!

Todayy...which is May 19th of course

Anyway...I had a not so good day. Well, everyday is good cause I've got Jesus! But today was...interesting. lol First off, at 5:45 this morning I hear my mom shriek and yell "ELISABETH!!! ELISABETH!! THE HORSES ARE LOOSE!!" I run out onto my front porch and watch as my horse and 7 of my friend's horses go galloping up Grammar road. After my heart was done skipping five beats I ran out and helped round em up. Barefoot and in pajamas I might add. So then, after all of that, I fly into the house at 6:20ish and fly through getting ready. I had no idea that I could fix my hair that fast lol!

When we got to school, my friend Alec was so nice. He brought me an ice cold Arizona IcedTea/Lemonade. Yuuuuuummmm its one of my favorite drinks ever! :) So there I was sipping it and talking to him when BOOM! A little kid runs through the door and hits my arm which sends my tea flying all over Alec and the floor. :( I only got to drink half of it and poor Alec's leg was sticky.

Then we had finals.

Literature was first which I'm proud to say I got a 90 on. Then came Algebra. *sigh* My day just continued....I got in to take the test, looked at it and my mind went "BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH!!" I was seriously starting to think that 2+2=5 or even fish!! I did awful on the test!!! Then, I had to sit in the gym for the rest of the day!

At the end of the day, Our bus was 20 minutes late and I had to sit in the parking lot with 6 screaming children.

Okay, I'm starting to think, things can't get that much worse. Ha! So I'm riding my horse on a trail ride and we're just coming over the hill to go to the barn. She freaks out and takes off up a STEEP STEEP hill and almost brings us both down. It took 30 minutes to sort out her awfulness and Then....Oh yeah, theres more. Two horses broke thru their fence, almost trampled me and I had to fix the fence and I GOT SHOCKED!!!

Whew.

But... God is still GOOD! Amen? :)

Contending for our Faith!

"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ."
Jude 1:3-4

I've been studying the book of Jude quite a lot recently and these verses always leap out at me. I will not lie to you, the first time I read the book, I was shaking with conviction the whole time.
Contending for our faith is very hard in this day and age....the world is bound and determined to bring us as Christians down.

But....Jesus went to the cross for us.

He died and shed His precious, perfect blood so that we could be born again and not have to go to a sinner's hell. The least THE LEAST we can do, is be a witness for Him. So, CONTEND FOR YOUR FAITH!!!!
Man...I feel a preachin' spell as Daddy would say! lol!!!

Me and Alec at the banquet up at school. :) Alec is a great guy, one of my best friends and one of the few young men I know that is on fire for the LORD!

We all had a great time Friday night! The decorations were awesome, the food was GREAT and all of the servers were wonderful. :)
